New tenants set to grow at The Grange
Jobs are set to be created by new tenants of office space at The Grange – the stunning new business centre created by Irvine Bay Regeneration Company.
Already the new business centre, built on the site of the former Grange cinema after which it is named, has seen 12 new jobs created with the opening of a Scotmid store on the ground floor.
Now BPO Collections has opened an office in the centre, with 10 people already employed and plans in place to create another 20 jobs over the next six months.
The company, which assists businesses in credit control, works for a number of blue-chip clients and key members of the management team are from the North Ayrshire area. Local people have been recruited and trained through the Lennox Partnership supported by North Ayrshire Council.
Managing Director Graham Rankin said he was delighted to be moving into The Grange. “Both myself and the General Manager, Barry Brotherston, are North Ayrshire people and we feel a great pride bringing jobs for local people to our area. We have received terrific support from Irvine Bay and from North Ayrshire Council, and we are delighted at the quality and training of the individuals we have been successful in recruiting.”
Interest in the business centre continues to be strong, with more jobs expected to follow when more businesses take up the top-quality, highly specified office space and workshops.
The Grange provides flexible business, retail and workshop space in small unit sizes. The accommodation totals some 1,000 sq m.
Patrick Wiggins, Chief Executive of Irvine Bay Regeneration Company, said: “The development was designed to meet the need for better premises for businesses in the town, and reinforces our confidence that offering the right quality of accommodation can help to bring businesses to Stevenston, creating jobs in the process, as well as ensuring local businesses can grow and stay in the town.”
