On site at Countess Street
Land Engineering are now on site to begin work at Countess Street, Saltcoats
Redevelopment of this area of the town centre will make an attractive gateway to the rest of the town and complement the recent refurbishment of the town hall. The project will be completed in Spring 2017, bringing transformation and regeneration to the centre of the town.
The project aims to re-emphasise the role Countess Street plays in linking the railway station and the main retail area and wider seafront area of Saltcoats. It will create an area with high quality seating, lighting and paving, making this gateway route to the town centre more attractive.
Work started on Monday 19th September and will run until Spring 2017. The street will be tidied and cleared for 5 weeks over the Christmas period to accommodate Christmas trading.
