Annual public meeting leadership
The students are studying for a leadership qualification and their involvement in the APM provided them with practical experience to develop their skills. The event was managed by Starkevents and the students worked closely with company owner Ann Stark.
With the event being held in their own school the students drew on their own experience of hosting events to offer ideas to make the APM a success. The students took on a variety of roles including event hosts, technicians and delivering a welcome address to the audience of around 250 people.
The project provided the students with an opportunity to see first-hand how a professional events company plans and manages an event, delivering what the customer wants.
